· 1992 John W. and Alfred J. buy the Hamilton Tire and Garage Ltd. for $1,800
· 1923 they sold Hamilton Tire and Garage Ltd. and moved to a new location. It was located at the corner of Yong and Gould and named the store Canadian Tire Corporation
· In 1927 they incorporated the name Canadian Tire Limited
· In 1993 they moved the main store into an empty supermarket. They had their clerks on roller skates that would race to fill the customer’s order.
· First gas bar opened in 1958
· 1958 Canadian tire money was introduced as gas coupons
· 1963 the first distribution center opened
· 1993 new-format of the store
· 2006 Canadian tire got a partnership with NASCAR and TSN
· 2011 Canadian tire but The Forzani Group Ltd.
· Stores are located all across Canada
